Who loves a checklist? 🙋♀️ If you have a fall photo session coming up, you're going to want to save this! A little preparation goes a long way in helping you feel totally cool, calm, and collected before your shoot.
Before Your Session: The Essentials
Try on all outfits at least a few days before the session, and make sure the kids have tried theirs on, too! This is a great way to avoid any last-minute surprises or discomfort.
Lay everything out the night before. Gather all the fall outfits, accessories, shoes, and any backup items. This makes getting ready the day of your session much smoother. Don't forget cozy layers like cardigans or scarves that you can add or remove!
Check your drive time an hour before you leave. Fall traffic, especially on weekends, can be unpredictable. Looking at a navigation app right before you head out will give you an accurate ETA and help you avoid feeling rushed.
Pack snacks and water, especially if little ones are coming along. Happy, fed kids (and adults!) make for a happier session. Think about easy, non-messy snacks that won't stain clothes.
Make sure everyone’s well-rested and well-fed. A good nap and a full belly can make all the difference in a child's mood, and your own!
During Your Session: The Mindset
Don’t worry about perfect hair or behavior. My goal isn't to capture perfection; it's to capture genuine connection and real moments. The beautiful fall light and scenery will do its part, and your job is just to enjoy the time with your family.
Trust me to handle the rest. My job is to guide you, find the best light, and capture the beautiful interactions that make your family unique. You just focus on enjoying the time together.
Remember, this session is about celebrating your family as you are right now. Have any questions as you're preparing? I'm just a message away!
