Extended Family Fun: Cowboy Hats, Cocktails, and a Country Reunion North of Sonoma { Family Photographer, Santa Rosa, CA }

I recently had the pleasure of capturing the best kind of reunion—a massive, joyful extended family photo session with Casey and her wonderful crew! This shoot took us out into the beautiful, rolling countryside north of Sonoma County, and the resulting images are just bursting with personality and love.


A Happy Reunion Years in the Making


It’s always special when photography brings people back into your life. I originally met Casey years ago when my kids were in preschool, and seeing her again, now with her entire extended family, was an absolute highlight of my year. Being able to reconnect and capture her whole crew was truly a joy!

This family knows how to have a good time. The energy and enthusiasm were infectious from the moment everyone arrived. Their secret ingredient for a relaxed, fun session? A light cocktail beforehand! It instantly set a wonderful, easygoing mood, ensuring everyone was comfortable and ready to laugh—which makes my job so much easier!


Style, Smiles, and Signature Cowboy Hats


What really made this session stand out was the family's incredible spirit and style. They came prepared with different outfits and, best of all, some signature cowboy hats that perfectly suited the rustic, country setting. These simple props added so much character and fun to the photos, giving their gallery a beautiful, memorable theme.

From the little ones to the grandparents, everyone was smiling, happy, and fully engaged. That perfect blend of a relaxed mood, fantastic style, and their deep family connection made for truly authentic and stunning portraits.

It was an honor to photograph this incredible group. The love they share is absolutely infectious, and I can't wait to share more of their beautiful, laughter-filled gallery!
