Dillon Beach Sunset: A Celebration of Family and Light { Family Photographer, San Rafael CA }

There’s something truly special about photographing people who share your passion for capturing life’s moments. That’s exactly how I felt when a fellow photographer asked me to document her family on a warm and sunny evening at Dillon Beach in Bodega. It was such an honor to be chosen for this, and the experience turned out to be as magical as the setting itself.

Her three kids were a joy to photograph—wild and free, completely themselves, and full of boundless energy. They ran along the shoreline, splashed in the water, and played with the kind of unfiltered joy that only kids seem to master. Watching the little boy being adored by his two big sisters melted my heart. The love and connection they shared were undeniable, and their laughter filled the air as the sun began to dip below the horizon.


The evening gifted us with a breathtaking sunset, the sky painted in soft pinks and golds, casting a dreamy glow over the beach. Sessions like this remind me how much I love beach photography—there’s something so soothing and grounding about the ocean breeze, the sound of waves, and the open space that invites people to truly relax and connect.
