Boho Motherhood Photography in Sonoma County
Julia's motherhood session in Petaluma was just what I needed to revive my creative energy! This was a creative session I shot alongside some of my favorite women in the photography community - Jodi Lynn and Crystal Dawn. It's a wonderful feeling to capture a session when the pressure is off and it's all about having fun! This is always the best way to get reinspired if you're in a rut.
Julia and Carson, her little boy, have such a beautiful connection. Carson is an independent little guy but he was happy to come in for some snuggles with his mama. Julia just adores him! She is so patient and gentle with Carson. You can feel the joy pouring out of her as she watches her son interact with the world around him. The intentionality behind her motherhood style was beautiful to capture.
We shot this motherhood session at a regional park in Petaluma, California. I can't express how breath taking the lighting was for this session! The way the sunlight seeped through her dress photographed so beautifully. It added a dramatic effect to the session that really intensified the emotion of Julia and Carson's connection with one another.
Jodi Lynn, Crystal Dawn and I styled this session together. We wanted a boho chic feel that felt relaxed and beautiful. A style that would heighten the moment of the motherhood session. Julia looked stunning in the kimono we styled her in! It was the perfect addition to add some beautiful texture and layer to the session.
I am so glad that I got together with some fellow creatives and just let our inspiration flow! I'm so passionate about capturing the story of motherhood. Julia and Carson's session was so much fun. The motherhood session felt so intimate and sweet.
