I love photographing families year after year, because with each year, you feel closer to that family. You each become investing in each other, and you get to certain place of comfort and ease with each other. Plus, it is just so amazing to see how much kids grow and develop from year to year!
This is the second time I've photographed this family, and this year we switched up our location, and photographed at a stunning winery in Sonoma. It was towards the end of fall, so the leaves on the vines were a beautiful yellow tone that really made everything pop. The kids had such a great time with their grandparents, and it was easy to see how much they look up to them. During the session, I always try to grab a few photos of just mom and dad. When you have kids, it's so easy to have all your focus be on them, so that's why I think it's nice to make sure to get a few images of just the parents. I mean, when was the last time they professionally had a photo taken of them? Most likely it was their wedding! ;)
After a few family portraits, we relaxed into the more free flowing part of the session, where the two brothers could just run around and play. These are some of my favorite images from the session!
